Roman god Saturn

The Roman god Saturn was known as Kronos to the Greeks.

The Roman civilization as well as other pagan nations worshipped the stars, and the Romans named the stars – or planets – after their gods.

Kronos (Cronus/Saturn) is known as the god of time (harvest, calendars, etc.); Saturn was the god of the harvest and of fertility (among other things) and his planet is, well – Saturn.

But the Hebrew people also worshipped the stars:

2 Kings 17:16 says about the Israelites “They forsook all the commands of the Lord their God and made for themselves two idols cast in the shape of calves, and an Asherah pole. They bowed down to all the starry hosts, and they worshiped Baal.”

The ancients used a system of numbers that correlated with many things; most importantly for this discussion, these numerical values were related to the letters of their alphabet.

This practice is called ‘isopsephia’, but is better known by its Greek word which is ‘gematria’ (from where we get the word ‘geometry’).

Numbers were considered mystical, and each number had its own character, identity and power.

For the Babylonians as well as the Romans, the ‘star of the sun god’ was the planet Saturn; it is the sixth planet out from the sun, and the Chaldean (Babylonian) number for the deity that would come to be known as the Roman god Saturn was 666.

Saturn means ‘war-like’.

His symbol is a star made of two triangles; thus, a six pointed star, which is used to this day by Druids, Wiccans, New Age, Freemasons and the occult.

Amos 5:26 says: But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.

Likewise, in Acts 7:43, it says: Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.

The word ‘Remphan’ in the above verse is the same as the word ‘Chiun’ from the verse in Amos, which is Arabian for Saturn.

Helena Blavatsky, the mother of the New Age movement says in her book titled “Isis Unveiled":

“….the Palestinian Baal, or Moloch, and Saturn are identical”….(emphasis mine)

Madame Blavatsky also states that “The god of time was Chium in Egypt, or Saturn..”

The Phoenicians and Scythians called the Roman god Saturn “Moloch” - which means ‘King’ - and worshipped the sun god by sacrificing their children in fire.

Sanchuniathon, the ancient sage who lived during the time of Nimrod, writes:
"It was a custom of the ancients in great crises of danger for the rulers of a city or nation, in order to avert the common ruin, to give up the most beloved of their children for sacrifice as a ransom to the avenging daemons; and those who were thus given up were sacrificed with mystic rites.

Kronos then, whom the Phoenicians call Elus, who was king of the country and subsequently, after his decease, was deified as the star Saturn, had by a nymph of the country named Anobret an only begotten son, whom they on this account called ledud, the only begotten being still so called among the Phoenicians; and when very great dangers from war had beset the country, he arrayed his son in royal apparel, and prepared an altar, and sacrificed him." (Emphasis mine).

The Ammonites used the word “Milcom” for Moloch, and the Moabites used the word “Chemosh”, which means ‘Subduer’; both are also associated with Saturn. See 1 Kings 11:33.

According to the Phoenician philosopher Porphyry, in his time (200 years after the birth of Christ) some Greek cities continued to sacrifice their children in the fire to the Roman god Saturn, as it was believed that Saturn had devoured his own children.

Saturn Taurus

In astrology it is believed that Saturn brings darkness, cold, sadness, death and misfortune, isolation and fear.

In Medical astrology he is believed to rule chemotherapy. His color is black and his element is lead.

As in Acts 7:41 and 2 Kings 17:16, the calf or bull – Taurus - was the symbol for Saturn, ‘The Horned One’.

The Roman god Saturn is the god of witchcraft, astrology, potions, divination and false prophecy.

He makes you a slave to time, controls the harvest, and demands the sacrifice of your beloved children.

Charming, isn’t he?

Would you choose him to be your god?

And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.
